Memorial services for Charles L. (Sam) Harrison, age 83, of Francis are 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 22 at Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Francis.

An Allen kindergarten student brightened Bob & Irene Biggs Valentine’s day by delivering a special homemade card. Mrs. Henthorn and Mrs. Morgan’s class entertained the Allen Nutrition Site participants with some songs and special Valentines gifts.

Basketball Regional Tournament

The frigid temperatures have forced the Regional Tournment to be moved back one day. So Friday night the Allen teams will play the opening round of the regional at the Allen gym. Girls tip off at 6:00 boys to follow. Both teams will face Weleetka.

Teams Ready for Playoffs

A Friday night trip to Stonewall brought a win for the Lady Mustangs and return on Saturday for the Allen men. After the girls contest the power to Stonewalls gym was lost and the boys contest was moved to Saturday In a close opening quarter the Allen girls held a 2-point lead. The second quarter the Allen offense kicked into gear outscoring the Lady Longhorns 21-6 . The rest of the game was more of the same as Allen Lady Mustangs won 76-38. The girls shot a whooping 60.5% from the field and had 20 steals in the game Cherish Woodward 21 points 8 rebounds Kryslyn Stephens 14 points, 10 rebounds Addison Prentice 13 points , 6 rebounds Kayla Nickell 9 points, 4 steals Kaylee Davis 9 points, 8 rebounds Stoney Cully 6 points 4 steals Dextry Bowerman 4 points, 3 rebounds The Allen men battled from 13 point deficient to take the win 55-51 over conference rival Stonewall on Saturday. The Mustangs grabbed 7 more defense board and outscored the Longhorns 30-16 in the paint to secure the victory in the last minutes of the game. Gus Matthews 16 points 10 rebounds Landin Tenequer 14 points, 3 steals Kamden Adams 7 points Bodee Garrett 6 points 5 rebounds Grady Holder 4 points, 2 assists Kayd Bell 3 points, 4 rebounds Gauge Lockhart 3 points Jax Watkins 2 points 4 assists In the final regular season game, the teams split on the road with Tishomingo. Lady Mustangs won 60-30 and the men lost 6438.
