The annual Gerty Day Reunion has been set for Saturday, June 28th. This year’s event is being hosted by the Blue Devils’ Class of 1965 as they celebrated the 60th anniversary of their high school graduation.

Read morePlans are just now getting underway for Allen’s Independence Celebration. It is set for Saturday July 12th at the Allen Park. We will set times for the parade and then the park activities by next week’s paper. So far we will be eating grilled hot dogs, have a free swim, a new water slide with a bounce house. We will play games so start looking for the fastest turtle, plus other games. If you want to participate or be a vendor we will have those details next week as well. A DJ will be having some karaoke and play some music for the evening. So mark your calendar and get your lawn chairs ready for a great night at the park.
