And isn’t freedom what we all seek? Yet, democracy being undisciplined, turbulent and luxury seeking, it fails time and time again when it faces austere, singleminded despotism. Despotism, in case you forget what that is the exercise of absolute power in a cruel and oppressive way.

Congratulations to the six Allen Senior FFA members getting their State Degrees in May. Earning the award were Maycee Howard, Samuel Wallace, Brody Wallis, Addison Bailey, Jacob Beavert and Ethan Ronnis. Also, Ethan and Jacob were named for their Academic Excellence by being in the top 10% in GPA nd ACT out of 732 state degree recipients.
