State officials from DEQ and FEMA were on site early in the process dictating where the town could stack the debris and how it was to be separated. As it was later discovered the event was not declared a disaster by the state there are no funds available to help get rid of the items.

Area youngsters need to get their baskets ready for Allen’s annual Easter Egg Hunt. This year’s event, sponsored by the Allen Chamber of Commerce, will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 12th, in the Allen City Park. Rain date for the Egg Hunt will be Saturday, April 19th.
