This year’s event, sponsored by the Allen Chamber of Commerce, will be held on Saturday, April 12th, in the Allen City Park. Rain date for the Egg Hunt will be Saturday, April 19th. All children in grade 3 and younger are invited to participate. Students in Kindergarten thru 3rd grade will hunt in the south half of the park; Pre-K students and pre-schoolers will be hunting in the northern half of the park and each child in the younger division will be allowed to have one adult assist them.

The two Pontotoc County boxes were a dead heat with the Allen box Woodward 46 and Batey 39 and in the Happyland precinct Woodward earned 6 votes and Batey had 13. There are 2 precincts in Hughes county , Bakers Branch had Woodward with 8 votes, Batey with 3 and the Atwood box had Woodward 0, Batey 2. In the Municipal election Incumbent Charley Henthorn won 71 to Jacob Wingard 13.
