The October meeting of the Allen City Council met Monday night. Members present were Dianna Brannan, Braylee Dickerson, Rhonda Skelton and Melinda Haney. Joshua Marshall was absent.

Saturday night the Allen area was belted with over baseball sized hail. The hailstorm that lasted approximately 30 minutes has created a lot of home, roof, and car damage. Most of the old-timers around here claim it is the largest hailstorm they have ever seen around here.

Read moreA fire recently destroyed the home, barn, camper and possessions of Kenny Moore. There will be a benefit BBQ dinner with live and silent auction to benefit his family on October 7. The dinner will start at 5 p.m. in the school cafeteria with the auction to follow. If you have items to donate to the auction bring them that day. Chester Delozier, 80, of Ada, passed away Sunday, September 24th, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. The family will hold a private service for Chester at a later date.
