Allen School Board Talks About Roof Damage

The Allen Board of Education held a special meeting Tuesday morning, October 23rd, to address an emergency situation caused by a hailstorm that passed through the area in September. The matter was listed on the agenda as, “Discussion and possible vote to adopt a Resolution declaring an emergency under the Public Competitive Bidding Act of 1974 resulting from roof damage to the district’s campus caused by thunderstorms on September 23, 2023. “Discussion and possible vote to approve such contracts and to take such actions as may be immediately necessary in response to emergency conditions resulting from storm damage at the district’s campus.”
