May we always remember the long 17 days we just endured. It may not have been as entertaining as the winter of ’48 but so far it sure has my attention. It has been a time of something just getting worse. And yes it could have been worse. For many others it was. For me it started out on the 5. I took Pat to the doctor up in Tulsa that day. It was rainy and cold and when we arrived it was slick, icy and 23 degrees F. But we made it home okay only to watch our weather just grow colder and colder.

Governor Kevin Stitt announced today he has asked the White House for additional federal aid for all 77 Oklahoma counties related to this month’s historic winter storm. The request seeks aid for homeowners, renters, business owners and government entities impacted by the winter storm from Feb. 8-20.

The Mustangs defeated a scrappy Quinton team Saturday to bring home the trophy: (l-r) Coach Greg Mills, Will Kaminski, Gage Holder, Taylor Wood, Coyt Bell, Brayden Tatum, Chad Milne, Keithon Howard, Jake Beavert, Easton Ledo, Garret Nix, Tagus Howard, assistant coaches Greg Sanders and Dayne Parker. The team plays Saturday night in the first round of Regionals.
