Rites held for Tony Sanders

Tony Clifford Sanders, age 47 and a resident of Konawa, Oklahoma passed away at his home on August 8, 2025.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 14,2025 at the First Baptist Church in Konawa. Rev. Jaymeson Kennedy and Rev. Heath Sapp will officiate, and burial will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Francis, Oklahoma. Casket bearers are James Heard, Brian McClure, Dalton Phillips, Ronnie Walker, Tommy Lee, and Tim Fallis. Honorary bearers are Steven Gentry, Michael Woodrum, Chris Fallis, Cole Alcorn, Tryton Hatcher, Timmy Sanders, Denim Sanders, and Trace Sanders. The family will receive guests at Swearington Funeral Home, 1001 N Milt Phillips Ave, Seminole, OK from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening.
Tony was born December 28, 1977 in Ada, Oklahoma to Noland “Paul” Sanders and Cora Loraine (Cox) Jackson. He graduated from Ada High School and became a 6G Welder for Duck Brothers in Konawa. Tony loved to go fishing, working on cars, and he loved his family and being a grandpa.
He is survived by his parents, Paul and Deana Sanders of Konawa; his daughter, Makenzie Sanders of Ada, Oklahoma; two brothers, Timothy Sanders and Diane of Ada, and Chris Crane of Muskogee, Oklahoma; three sisters, Tresa Alcorn and husband, Cole of Clinton, Tennessee, Kari Gentry and husband, Steven of Konawa, and Amanda Woodrum and husband, Michael of Ravia, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Ember, Cooper, and Luka; and eighteen nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Cora Jackson and stepfather, Tiny Jackson.
