Service today (Thursday) for Darryl Prince

Darryl Gene Prince passed away unexpectedly on July 3, 2025 after a summer evening doing what he loved best - spending quality time with people he loved. Darryl Prince (66) was born February 28th 1959 in Hobbs, New Mexico to Clarence William Prince and Sybal Jean Prince (Whittington). Darryl graduated with the Allen High School Class of 1977.
A skilled diesel mechanic, Darryl owned and operated Prince Truck and Equipment for many years.
Darryl valued being part of his community and proudly served a term as Mayor of Stonewall. One of his proudest accomplishments was helping rebuild the city park so that families could have a place to gather, play, and make memories.
He was a proud father to seven children: Melissa, Brandon, Stephen, Tosha, Phillip, Darryl Jr. and Morre, and was a proud Grandpa/Great Grandpa/and Pa.
Honorary pallbearers include Brad Gibson, Randy Curtis, Leroy Daniel, Robert Dean, John Dagenar, and Zach Braun.
Darryl is survived by his brothers Anthony Prince and wife Kay of Pickett, Oklahoma, and brother Rickey Prince. He is also survived by his seven children: Melissa Moiser and husband Eric of Ada, Oklahoma; Brandon Prince and wife Kate of Ninnekah, Oklahoma, Stephen Prince and wife Kyla of Roff, Oklahoma; Tosha Wilson and husband Sammy of Vanoss, Oklahoma; Phillip Prince of Pottsboro, Texas; Darryl Prince Jr. of Ada, Oklahoma; Morre Prince and wife Angel of Stonewall, Oklahoma; and Ellie Braum of Stonewall, Oklahoma whom he loved as a daughter. Darryl was a proud grandfather to 14 grandchildren: Trinity Whitehead and fiancé Lucas Cartwright, Colton Moiser, Kasch Moiser, Brian McClure, Evan Prince, Lorelai Prince, Tori Prince, Paris Prince, Zachary Wilson, Carter Wilson, Audrina Prince, Sadie Prince, and Daniel Braum. He also leaves behind one great-grandchild, Maizley Prince.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 10th, at Stonewall First Baptist, 330 Harrison Ave, Stonewall, OK 74871. Officiating will be Jarrod Presley, Pastor of Ada First Freewill Baptist Church.
