Service held for Glenda Britt

Services for Glenda Cherie Britt, 72, of Ada were held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 7th, at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel with Matt Cooley officiating. Burial followed at Five Mile Cemetery.

Mrs. Britt passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2025, in Ada. She was born August 28, 1952, in Ada to Glen and Nadine Brooks McGuire.

On September 8, 1971, she married Ron Britt. She was a graduate of Latta High School class of 1970. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in education then went on to complete her master’s degree in education, both from East Central University. Glenda worked for the Byng School District, Latta School District, and taught school at Allen Schools until her retirement. Knowing she couldn’t stay idle long, she returned to work a few years later at the Ada Tag Agency.

Mrs. Britt is survived by her husband, Ron, of the home; son, Josh Britt and wife Dawn; daughter, Lisa Martin and husband Eric; sister, Sharon Hall and husband Wayne; grandchildren, Kelsie Schnitker and husband Cody, Brenna Britt, Jaycee Britt, Chase Horton and wife Tanna, Carly Horton, Ashlyn Wisbauer, Bree Hinson and husband Levi, Ella Martin, and Britt Martin; and great-grandchildren, Coulson Horton, Cael Horton, Annebella Schnitker, and Adelyn Schnitker.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Bill McGuire.
