Roy May Passes Away

Roy May Passes Away

Roy Oliver May was born October 23, 1939 in Greeley, Oklahoma, the son of Clifford and Rhetta Jane (Carter) May. He passed from this life on July 7, 2025.

He was the brother of eight siblings, father of four children and grandfather to five grandchildren.

Roy was a jack of all trades and a master of some, from operating heavy equipment to rebuilding engines to being a real life cowboy. Roy lived a life of adventure.

He was not a writer by trade but was credited for one song, “Daniel Boone Was A Man” and one haiku, “Walking Through The Jungle.” While they never made it to the Top 40 or any best sellers list, they made for enjoyment of his family and will be passed on for generations.

Now Roy walks into his next adventure with that mischievous grin of his and a hop in his step. I wonder what songs he is going to sing in Heaven? Lord help ‘em!
