Read moreThe Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics (OBN) assisted by the Hughes County Sheriff’s Department served a search warrant at an illegal marijuana growing operation at 7274 EW County Road 145 in Atwood on Wednesday March 16. Mark Woodward, public information officer for the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics, stated that this farm did not have an Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority (OMMA) or an OBN license to grow marijuana and the owners/operators were selling their product on the black market out-of-state. OBN seized approximately 6,000 plants and 2,600 pounds of processed marijuana. Mr. Woodward said the raid was part of an ongoing investigation that is expected to result in multiple arrests.
