Farmers State Bank asks that all Angel Tree gifts be returned, unwrapped, to the bank by Tuesday, December 20th. The gifts will then be wrapped and distributed by Christmas.

This Saturday will be a big day in Allen. After waiting and being ever so patient, all area children are welcome to come downtown to visit with Santa and finalize their wish lists before Christmas. Plans are for him to arrive in town at 2:00 p.m. He will be seated on one of Allen’s fire trucks and stop in the center of the 100 block of West Broadway.

The Allen men have jumped to the #9 spot in Class A rankings while the Lady Mustangs sit at 17. Both teams brought home hardware from the Pontotoc Conference tournament last week. The girls earned 2nd place honors while the boy’s 3rd place. Thursday the Lady Mustangs faced a common foe, Calvin, for the second time. Allen won the contest 43-37.
